Triple DDD Bending began operations January of 1986 in Calgary, Alberta in the business of pipe and steel bending and rolling. The founder and owner, Doug Foster, had many years of bending experience and the company experienced steady growth for the next 18 years. In March of 2004, Mr. Foster sold Triple DDD Bending to Benpro Technologies Corp., a group of experienced businessmen and investors led by John McBean. Benpro had been looking to acquire a successful Oil & Gas Service company since 2003. The name was changed to Triple D Bending and the company became a division of Benpro Technologies Corp. Mr. Foster remained with the company as a consultant until the completion and commissioning of the Induction Bender in December of 2005. All of the key management personnel, most of whom had been with Doug for many years, remained with the company.

Triple D Bending began construction of a new plant with attached offices on our new 7.6-acre site in southeast Calgary in October of 2004. The new plant was operational in September of 2005 and we moved our staff into the new offices that October. Our team currently has 49 members.

We have recently installed a larger hydraulic cold bender to handle up to 16" Ø pipe. Our original cold bender continues to handle up to 8" Ø pipe. The new Plant 1 now houses our state-of-the art Induction Bender, two hydraulic cold benders, another bending/rolling machine, and our spooling station. Plant 2, which was already on the new site, was completely redesigned for the installation of our smaller bending/rolling machines, a machine shop, and an equipment maintenance shop.
